WeatherBrains

Winter’s coming!ย It’s less than 100 days now until lifts start turning across the country, but the burning question we all want to be answered is: how much will it snow next winter?

Check out the video from Direct Weather, who give their breakdown of where there will be snow, and where there won’t.

Tl;dr:

  • West isn’t looking too great, California will be moderately warmer and drier than normal, and west of the Rockies slightly warmer and drier. This is due to the fact that El Niรฑo is dead.
  • Looks like Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming will have a pretty average winter.
  • East coast is where it’s at next winter, apparently. Above-average precipitation coupled with below-average temperatures is looking good for moderately above-average snowfall.
