Winter’s coming! It’s less than 100 days now until lifts start turning across the country, but the burning question we all want to be answered is: how much will it snow next winter?

Tl;dr:
- West isn’t looking too great, California will be moderately warmer and drier than normal, and west of the Rockies slightly warmer and drier. This is due to the fact that El Niño is dead.
- Looks like Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming will have a pretty average winter.
- East coast is where it’s at next winter, apparently. Above-average precipitation coupled with below-average temperatures is looking good for moderately above-average snowfall.

THAT MORNING WE HAD 5 INCHES OF WET SNOW FROM A LONG BAND OF LAKE AFFECT SNOW OFF OF LAKE MICHIGAN THAT EXTENDED TO THE FOOT HILLS OF NASHVILLE TENNESSEE. THAT REGION RECEIVED UP TO 9 INCHES. I’VE SEEN SUPER CELLS COMING NORTH EAST HIT KENTUCKY LAKE AND CONVECTION EXPLODES INTO LAKE AFFECT DELUGES WHEN PAST BOTH LAKES. IN THE APRIL SNOW, MY BROTHER LIVED IN OWASSO, MICHIGAN.
