Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are threatening to connect via a Base to Base Gondola. This video gives us an update on that project.
One thing to remember here is that this Gondola project has not been submitted, has not been approved, and is just talk at this point.
What Squaw Valley is mostly doing in this video is attempting to drum up support for the project from the community via digital signatures.

There is a controversy currently about the proposed Gondola passing over federally protected wilderness. In Sierra Watch’s maps, it appears that as much as 25% of the proposed gondola crossed protected land.

Many people only signed up to stay informed and do not actually support the project. It is interesting that the hype machine has spun sign ups as support. Lets see an actual EIR/EIS for the project.
