“First snow of the season! 9.13.16” – Mt. Rose, today
Mt. Rose ski resort in Lake Tahoe, NV got its first snow of the season today. It’s still technically summer.
Mt. Rose has the highest base in Lake Tahoe at 8,260′. The summit is way up at 9,700′.
We can confirm that Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Sonora Pass also got snow in California today (yes, we know Mt. Rose is in Nevada…).
