Organized Chaos is an adrenaline-fueled journey that dives deep into the world of big mountain skiing, exploring the delicate balance between pushing limits and staying in control. This film follows Teton Brown as he navigates the unpredictability of backcountry terrain, where weather, snow conditions, and avalanche risks can change in an instant. After a brutal mid-season crash shakes his confidence, he embarks on a mission to redefine his approach, blending meticulous planning with the raw, chaotic beauty of the mountains. Organized Chaos captures the highs and lows of chasing greatness, showcasing breathtaking lines, heart-pounding moments, and the resilience it takes to conquer both the mountain and the mind.

The film was shot in the following locations: Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Chamonix, France; Engelberg, Switzerland; Ski Portillo, Chile; Lan Leรฑas, Argentina

In an email correspondence with SnowBrains, Tristan “Teton” Brown shared the inspiration behind “Organized Chaos:”

I had initiallyย planned for this to be a web series, with various US locations in mind and a European trip, but with lack of snow to start the year, followed by unstable avalanche conditions, I shifted my focus to one year-long film project.
The goal became to first rip my home-base resort of Jackson Hole, checking off some classics and some less-often skied lines. After the season wrapped up here, I booked a trip to the Alps to film in a couple locations I’ve been wanting to check out for years: Chamonix, FR and Engelberg, CH.
For the final two segments some friends and I took advantage of the killer snow year that the Andes had, and traveled down to Portillo, CL and Las Leรฑas, AR. We watched the weather closely and pulled a strike mission in August and nailed the snow and weather conditions perfectly.
Despite some things going seeminglyย perfect, plentyย of other things such as weather, snow and avy conditions, athlete unavailability, injuries and so forth made it a challenge. I decided halfway through the season to make the title and theme of the project Organized Chaos because it aptly describes the unpredictability of skiing, life in general and the utter chaos of bringing a project like this to life. I learned the key is to expect the chaos, be prepared and ready to adapt, and most of all to enjoy the process and the challenge involved.
