There is nothing more famous in skiing than the Chinese Downhill.
Breckenridge, CO had it’s own Chinese Downhill on their opening day last weekend that was quite worth.
Squaw Valley, USA had the original Chinese Downhill that was an annual event until a spectator was killed after stepping onto the course and being struck by a competitor.
Competitors would start at the top of the Siberia Ridge and race to the KT sundeck. First one to the bottom wins, no rules, winner takes all. This has all be acurately documented in the famous soft porn ski movie “Hot Dog,” of course.
