I spent the morning texting most of my skiing friends saying “lets shred the palisades” and even after pleading with them on the hill, none of my friends were willing to hike all the way from Gold Coast to the Palisades. Plus, who wants to go hike and get gnarly with a kid in jeans and a Hawaiian shirt. Luckily I met up with my friend and ski coach Aaron Finley and we hiked all the way up.
I looked down chimney (because you never go up to the palisades and not check out chimney) but was talked out of it and went to ski extra chute. But after looking at the sweep from the bottom I thought, “That totally goes”.
So, I hiked back up and with a little confidence boost from Robb Gaffney.
I dropped into the Sweep. There’s nothing like being shot out of that line at about 40mph like a cannon ball! When I got to the bottom I thought “Wow that was a rush! Lets go do it again”.
So, we went up again and I solved the age old question, “If no one is around to see how rad you got, did you get rad?” Luckily for me there was a photographer and an iphone up there so now everyone can see! I lined up center line and pointed it down for what was the last run at Squaw of the season and it was totally worth it.

This kid is RIDICULOUS. How great is it that “all the talk” at the Chammy was about this, and it was done by a 17yr old!

The first angle in the video from above is from the sweep and the second angle from below is of center line.
Ha, my bad, I didn’t even catch that. I’m out of it. No wonder that air was so big. I spliced it to look like the same air. my bad.
That clears up some confusion on my end…
I saw his Center Line run.
The second view looks like what I remember seeing.
