GoPro announced the winners of the “Line of the Winter” for April, and will be announcing the “Overall Line of the Winter” winners in a few days. April’s Line of the Winter winners were Craig Murray in men’s ski and Manon Loschi in women’s ski, while the snowboard winners were Lucas Merli for the men and Tiphanie Perrotin for the women.

Craig Murray is a 27‑year‑old New Zealander who rose to prominence on the Freeride World Tour, earning podium finishes at premier venues like Kicking Horse, British Columbia, and Vallnord–Arcalís, Andorra. A multitalented athlete and filmmaker, he’s also known for producing and starring in freeride ski films that showcase his creative lines and advocacy for making big‑mountain skiing more accessible.

Manon Loschi is a 23‑year‑old freeride skier from La Clusaz, France, who was crowned European Skier of the Year 2024 after a breakout season that included becoming the first woman ever to win Alaska’s prestigious Natural Selection freeride event and securing multiple podium finishes on the Freeride World Tour.

Lucas Merli is a Southeast Alaska–born snowboard guide based in Juneau. Known in the freeride snowboard scene as Lucas Spinewalker, he is celebrated for his precise edge control and bold line choice in films such as The Outliers and The Outliers II. His video for the Line of the Winter certainly does not disappoint!

Tiphanie Perrotin is a freeride snowboarder from La Tour in Haute‑Savoie, France, who burst onto the world stage by winning the 2022 Freeride World Tour as a rookie, becoming women’s world champion at age 33. A former physiotherapy student turned backcountry specialist, Perrotin earned her spot on the tour by topping the 2021 Europe Oceania Freeride World Qualifier and has since remained a fixture in elite big‑mountain competitions.

The monthly winners take home $5,000 each and will enter the big pot for the Overall Line of the Winter where each category winner will take home $10,000 in cash!
