VIDEO: Ridiculously Deep Snow in Japan Yesterday

Miles Clark
deep snow japan.

Two days ago, on February 10th, 2015, Japan had one of its deepest, driest days. ย It was certainly the deepest, driest day of the winter thus far.

This video is from ourย first run. ย This is the kind of skiing we can all relate to. ย The kind of skiing we all dream about and hope for. ย Simple,ย deep, mellow, happy powder skiing.

Gasping for air in between enormous faceshots, holding your breath while snow hits you in the face, involuntarily licking snow off lips, wiping goggles, scanning for trees. ย

On this day on this run, there wereย about 100 cms (40 inches) of new snow and it was -10ยบC (14ยบF). ย We skied as hard as we could from 9:30am to 4pm. ย I’ve rarely been so tired from just skiing perfect snow. ย A day to remember.
