Vail Resorts Raises Minimum Wage to $10/Hour

Vail Resorts will begin paying its employees at least $10 per hour beginning September 26th, 2015 in all of the 8 states that they operate within.

 In California, Vail will pay $1 over minimum wage.  In Wisconsin and Wyoming they’ll be paying $2.75 over minimum wage.  In Colorado they’ll be paying $1.77 over minimum wage.

During the peak of the ski season, Vail Resorts employs 25,000 people and up to 18,000 in Colorado alone.

The Federal minimum wage is currently set at $7.25 per hour.  29 states already have minimum wages higher than the Fed’s minimum wage.
