Just days ahead of its annual price increase, Vail Resorts announced a major expansion of its Epic Pass offerings in Austria, adding six prominent alpine resorts to the 2025โ26 pass lineup. The newest additionsโSรถlden and Silvretta Montafonโwere revealed on May 25 and May 23, respectively, capping off a week of high-profile announcements that also included Saalbach, Zell am See-Kaprun, Mayrhofen, and Hintertux.
These resorts join Austriaโs Ski Arlbergโalready part of the Epic Pass networkโand significantly bolster the passโs presence in the Alps. Sรถlden, located in Tyrolโs รtztal Valley, is known for its glacier skiing, iconic on-mountain entertainment, and the annual FIS Alpine World Cup Opening each October. Silvretta Montafon, in Vorarlberg, offers rugged terrain, freeride zones, and will host the FIS Freestyle World Championships in 2027. Hintertux is an exciting glacier ski resort that offers year-round skiing and snowboarding.
Each of the new Austrian partners offers five days of access to Epic Pass holders and brings with it a distinct blend of alpine sport, culture, and scenery. The move extends Vail Resortsโ international reach and underscores its strategy to attract global travelers seeking more flexibility and variety from a single pass.
Importantly for Australian skiers and snowboarders, all six Austrian resorts are included in the 2025 Epic Australia Pass, according to Vail Resortsโ Australian websiteโmaking the pass more valuable for Southern Hemisphere riders planning a Northern Hemisphere ski trip. The Australian Epic Pass is currently priced at AUD 1,229 ($802 USD) for adults and prices are slated to go up in two days on May 28, before the 2025 pass will no longer be available.
The American Epic Pass is currently priced at $1,051 USD for adults and $537 USD for children, with the lowest price of the year available through Monday, May 26. That date also marks the final chance to secure benefits such as two Buddy Tickets (offering up to 45% off lift tickets), six Ski With a Friend tickets, and the option to lock in a pass with just $49 down.
With the latest additions, the Epic Pass now grants access to 34 resorts across 10 European ski areas, alongside unlimited access to 37 North American resorts, including Whistler Blackcomb, Vail, Breckenridge, and Park City. For globetrotting American skiers and riders, the pass continues to offer unmatched breadth and valueโif purchased before the May 26 deadline.
