Truckee, CA, is currently experiencing its most prolonged consecutive days without measurable precipitation during meteorological winter since 1990, reports The Sierra Sun.ย As of today, it has been 34-days.

The old record may be beaten with no precipitation in the forecast for at least the next couple of weeks.

โ€œIt looks like weโ€™ll beat the old record by quite a bit.โ€

– Andrew Schwartz, lead scientist at the Central Sierra Snow Laboratory

Thanks only to a record snowstorm in December, the snowpack in the area sits at 73% of normal.

Let’s all hope the pattern changes soon. Miracle March, anyone?
