The Travel Channel has ranked the top 10 snowiest ski resorts in the world this week. We know this list is inaccurate, but it’s still fun to see how the outside world sees our snow realm.
Alta, UT averages 563” of snow per season. Timberline, OR avergages 551” of snow per season, so right off the bat, we know this list is incorrect. Grand Targhee, Kirkwood, Snowbird, Sugarbowl, Solitude, & Brighton all average 500” of snow per season. The list is clearly askew as it has Kirkwood in there, but none of the other 4 ski resorts that average 500” per year.

Nonsense ! I’ve skied Ca all my life. Squaw, alpine and kirkwood are NOT heavy snow mountains . At least not anymore . I ski Northstar more, because they have more lifts open due to snowmaking.
Good to see CA in there twice.
About 5 ski resorts in WA and BC that are snowier.
Crystal Mountain?
Crystal is in Rainier’s rain shadow and doesn’t get even as much snow as Snoqualmie.
It just sticks around a lot longer because of the elevation
