The SnowBrains Podcast is brought to you by Alta Ski Area
Last month we proudly announced the launch of “The SnowBrains Podcast.“
The SnowBrains Podcast has already broken into the top 20% of all podcasts, and we’re honored and humbled.
Thank you.
This week, we bring you episode #5 with the President & Chief Operating Officer of Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe, California.
Squaw Valley will be renaming their ski resort in early 2020/21 due to the word “Squaw” being recognized as a racial and sexist slur.
Ron Cohen briskly walks us through Squaw Valley’s renaming process before digging into Squaw Alpine’s COVID strategies. He then gives us an overview of their plans for the approved Base-To-Base Gondola to connect Squaw Valley to Alpine Meadows.
“When you say ‘well who’s in charge of the [renaming] process?’ – ultimately it’s me, I’m accountable, that’s what happens when you take the job.” – Ron Cohen
