
An 18-year-old skier has died after hitting a tree at Mount Rose Ski Tahoe in Nevada. The accident occurred on Thursday, January 9. According to the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Ski Patrol responded immediately to scene but the teenager succumbed to his injuries on site and was pronounced dead in the resort’s first aid facility. The victim was identified as Max Chavalithumrong, a student at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

My little brother Max passed away yesterday in a skiing accident. Max was a special kid who we loved very much.Our family will be hosting a memorial service tomorrow @ 6pm, 1/11/25 at Wat Buddhapradeep of Reno. Please come and help us celebrate his life.
Please let me know if you can make it, everyone can come. My parents want to make food for all of Max’s friends.
If you can’t make it tomorrow, ceremonies will be held at 6pm at the temple each day through Tuesday. You can come as many days as you would like.
