On February 11th, 2016, four Lake Tahoe pilots went for a Guinness World Record for “Plane Water Skiing”.  The pilots were Kevin Quinn of Points North Heli, Kevin Sloane of Fly Truckee Tahoe, Trent Palmer, owner of RC Heli Pilot, and Toby Smith.

They water skied their planes for 30 miles across Lake Tahoe.  Plane water skiing is basically dragging your tires across water while flying.

The pilots have submitted their record to Guinness.  Guinness can take up to 3 months to get back about official records.
