Lake Tahoe, CA Backcountry Conditions Report: Getting Inverted in La Sala del Diablo Chute

Miles Clark

Got up high in the Lake Tahoe, CA backcountry today.

Found a fun chute.ย

Tried to ski it fast.

Worked great until one of my ski tails hit a rock, crossed me up, and sent me inverted for a bit… ย

No bueno.

Luckily, the chute wasn’t too steep so thereย was no penalty.

Today was a beautiful day in the Tahoe backcountry.
