VIDEO: Don’t Try This At Home Kids! Insane 91ft Swan Dive From Cliff This is mental! Most of us are a little crazy. We don’t mind hucking cliffs, or dropping vertically into couloirs. But this guy sends it to another level, jumping 91ft off a cliff in to the water below. And not just any jump, a swan dive. Yup, head first. Like I said, mental. Props fella! And for my next trick… he promises to […] Friday Fun Steven Agar | August 4, 2017 1 Comment

Friday Fun: Sketchy Vermont Cliff Jumping Video Some of these jumps are sketchy. Sketchy in cliff jumping is when you have to clear something in the air and/or the landing is tight with rocks and obstacles all around. This video has plenty of both. It’s summer and during summer, one of the best things you can do is go cliff jumping. It’s fun, it’s scary, it helps with aerial control which can translate to skiing and riding, and it’s a great way to cool off. Vermont has some killer cliff jumping it turns out. Brooks Curran and his buddies show us just how rad you can get in the VT during summertime. Cool off. Friday Fun SnowBrains | July 31, 2015 0 Comments
Friday Fun: Monster Truck Double Backflip 180º It’s hard enough to pull off a double backflip on skis or a board. Maximum Destruction just did it in a monster truck and threw in a 180º for good measure. This same guy tried a front flip last week and it didn’t go well. History of the Monster Truck double backflip: “After George Balhan, driver of Mohawk Warrior, landed two consecutive backflips at the 2012 Monster Jam World Finals, Tom Meents [Maximum Destruction driver] was driven to land the double. After months of preparation at his shop located in Paxton, Illinois, he was to debut this move on June 16, 2012, Friday Fun SnowBrains | July 3, 2015 0 Comments
Friday Fun: Insane Whacko, Texas Super Water Slide We all need access to a water slide like this one in Waco (Whacko), Texas. It’s huge, it’s fun, and you can throw as many flips as you like. The intense part of this thing is the speed. You’re maching by the time you leave the slide. You’re air time is spent attempting to keep it together or trying to complete you rotation and land feet down. Pretty great aerial practice as you’re coming off the slide laying down with your feet above your head and you have to land feet down. Definitely good for your aerial awareness. Friday Fun: Train Faceshots This video is a train plowing through deep, fresh snow and getting some massive faceshots. This really must have been a rush for the guys driving the train. If you think about it, these train engineers must have been getting faceshots like this all day long. It’s wild to be going fast and not being able to see where you’re going. We suppose there’s a bit less guesswork when you’re on rails, but it’s still gotta be a good rush. I’m not even sure how many locomotives this train had … Railfanning Post Blizzard of 2015 Storm #3. Canadian National Railway locomotive 2304 (ES44DC) plows through huge snow drifts and gives me a big ass snow shower as it leads the daily CN […] Friday Fun SnowBrains | February 5, 2015 0 Comments
