Funny what happens when you go so big that wind resistance over-powers gravity.” – Mike Douglas

VIDEO: Competitor Send It Huge with HIGH Consquences in Hard Pack Snow at Crested Butte Extreme Comp 2016

The competition scene these days is going through the roof.  Athletes are pushing it harder, faster, and bigger than ever before.  This video of Murray Elliott is truly nuts.  Competitions force skiers and riders to go big in conditions that may not exactly be ideal.   On one side of the coin, huge props to Murray for taking this line, […]

VIDEO: Bode Miller Crashes HARD & “Needs Surgery”

bode miller crash cuts leg

Bode Miller, 37, took a vicious crash today during the Super-G in Beaver Creek today. He sliced up his leg pretty bad and might need up to 100-stitches. He was absolutely charging when he crashed and had the lead by .06 seconds. “[Bode] said it felt like he got hit by a truck. He said he’s going to need like 100 stitches.” – US Ski Team Member Travis Ganong” Bode was able to walk off on his own power, but was clearly shaken up. Bode is a true badass and if he feels like he got hit by a truck, then it was definitely a very hard hit. […]

Crash of the Week: Urban Bodyboarding in Brazil…

This video is kinda graphic in its own way as it’s clear that this kid at least got a bit hurt. If you watch closely you can see that he only falls down on section of stairs and stops, so the injuries weren’t life threatening and hopefully […]

Crash of the Day | Colter Hinchliffe vs. Snow Shark

Colter Hinchliffe gets thrown through the wash in Aspen after landing in a shark pit. Cracked boot, bruised heel, and some p-tex work. Definitely gnarly, but ended well enough. As Coulter puts it: “I’m fine!!” I did bruise the shit out of my heel tho and it’s healing real slowly. My left ski got ripped off my foot by a shark under the snow off the first cliff (end of vid evidence). I wasn’t able to avoid the […]
