Sunday at Squaw Valley, CA provided all types of ski conditions with some great wind buff leftover from the 3-4″ of snow that fell Friday evening. 

The wind and recent cold snow provided excellent wind buff underneath Headwall and Siberia that was ‘carvable’ at high speeds. 

It felt like Spring at the base and was nearly 50 degrees Fahrenheit when I arrived.

Some people opted for tank tops but there was a stiff Westerly breeze at the top of Headwall and Siberia, where I spent most of the afternoon.

Towards the bottom of each run, it felt like Spring again.

Since the holiday weekends were over the lift lines were quick and with most of the mountain open it was not crowded.

The weather was ideal with clear views of Lake Tahoe, Desolation Wilderness, and Castle Peak to the North.

This week starts out stormy and cold so the Sierra may be in line for a refresh to extend the season.
