“I beat Squaw today. ย I got to level 14 and it said congratulations, game over.” – Brandon Walsh

“Today was one of the top 5 days of the year.” – Unknown chairlift rider

Today was spectacular at Squaw Valley, USA. ย Squaw reported 8-14″ of new snow overnight. ย Weather was a mix of sunny and overcast but visibility was mostly very good.

The only things that didn’t open were The Palisades, Mainline Pocket, and Silverado. ย Tomorrow will be one helluva show up in The Chimney.

Where it was good today:

  • The skiing in the trees off Red Dog was world class today.
  • All of KT-22 went off. ย Granite was deep and huckable and Granite Chief Peak opened (Glory Rock got fully bombed out – just like the old days!). ย
  • Headwall and Light Towers were perfect. ย
  • Broken Arrow was splendiferous in the morning and now one was hiking it.

Where it will be good tomorrow:

  • The Palisades
  • The Chimney
  • Mainline Pocket
  • Silverado
