The large avalanche resulted in two individuals being partially buried and another being completely buried. Shortly after, Star Valley Search & Rescue responded to the scene and the fully buried victim was recovered and taken to the hospital via a helicopter. Sadly, Brennan succumbed to the injuries that he suffered from the avalanche. A GoFundMe has been set up to support his family through this horrible time. Our thoughts are with Brennan’s family and friends. This is a sobering reminder to stay safe in the backcountry.
