Brian Head Resort in Utah reported 1-2 inches of snow fell Sunday night, enough for snow-starved locals to hike up and make the first turns of the season.
Mike Saemisch was out there on skis while a Brian Head employee dusted down his board to begin the season. Any turns are good turns, right?!
The operations crew is getting snow guns ready in preparation for the 2023-24 ski season, and the excitement is high.
The race to open is on, and ski season is just around the corner. The Southern Utah resort, with a base elevation of 9,600 feet, has set an opening date of Friday, November 10. Lift tickets can be purchased in advance for just $29, while kids 12 and under ski and ride free all year long.
