Just as Bode Miller famously completed the Bormio, Italy downhill course in 2005 after losing a ski, Polish skier Pawel Babicki lost a ski after 40 seconds and still managed to finish the entire course on his remaining ski. The Pole finished dead last in the field of 67, but this is one participation medal that he won’t soon forget.
