Thanks to over 8 feet of snow in February, and much more over the upcoming week, Palisades Tahoe is planning to spin its lifts for skiing and riding through Memorial Day, weather and conditions permitting. With three more months of skiing, the resort is claiming the longest season in Tahoe, and things are only getting started at the Spring Skiing Capital.

It’s about to dump snow exceptionally hard at Palisades this weekend with up to 50 inches expected in the Palisades base area in the next 24 hours. With the high forecasted rate of snowfall (up to five inches per hour), Palisades Tahoe has decided to keep Alpine closed for tomorrow, Friday, March 1. Forecasts predict 5 to 8 feet of fresh snowfall over three days.
