Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY announced four challenging new routes are open from Via Ferrata thru September 29, 2019.
“There are routes for all types of abilities,” said resort President, Kate Buckley, “and a sense of progression from the easier routes to the most difficult.”
New features include:
- Cable ladder
- Bridges
- Cracks, Overhangs, and Caves
The Via Ferrata is a first of its kind US Forest Service-approved network begun in 2017. It is above Bridger Bowl Gondola, accessing steep wilderness terrain on:
- Ranger Ridge
- Casper Bowl
The Via Ferrata opens some of the classic steep, rugged terrain that the Tetons are famous for with guided ascents, and allows Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to offer the same thrilling and authentic guided mountain experience via climbing in the summer as with skiing in the winter.
