Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin appears to be working on a new film project, according to a recent Instagram post shared from her spring training camp at Copper Mountain in Colorado.  In the post, Shiffrin thanked Copper for “another super productive spring camp” and hinted at an upcoming “secret project,” accompanied by behind-the-scenes video footage of a follow-cam skier capturing her training runs with a large camera rig. The follow-cam operator, tagged as @mountain.max, drew a special shoutout from Shiffrin: “I still don’t know how you did that—but so glad we got the shots.”

While details about the project remain under wraps, the two-time Olympic champion and most decorated alpine skier in World Cup history told followers she’s excited to share more soon. The post ended on a playful note, teasing a break ahead: “Almost vacay time…,” Shiffrin wrote.

Spring camps are a routine part of Shiffrin’s training schedule, especially at high-altitude resorts like Copper Mountain, which markets itself as “The Athlete’s Mountain.” Known for its early-season snowmaking and terrain dedicated to elite racers, Copper remains a key location for off-season preparation.

With the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy less than a year away, speculation is swirling among fans about whether the mystery project is related to Shiffrin’s racing legacy—or something entirely new. For now, she’s staying quiet. “I can’t wait to share the secret project,” she wrote, followed by a hush face emoji.
