It snowed pretty damn hard on Tuesday night here in Mammoth…

Mammoth reported 3″ of new snow yesterday morning.

We hit the mountain early and grabbed 4th chair on Chair 2.

Our first run was on Chair 3 and it was dust on crust but fun dust on crust

We did another 3 down Coyote to Chair 5 and that was likely the softest run of the day as it was on a groomer that had gotten snow on it and was cooking in the sunshine.

From there we tried the Paranoids on Chair 23.

It looked good but it was real firm underneath.

Gondola from the bottom to the top revealed some good-looking skiing under the top station.

We sampled and it wasn’t bad.

From there we hiked Chair 5 and that was good fun, shallow pow.

We even hiked Chair 22 and skied the avy chutes!

They were dust on crust and fun.

To end the day we did a couple top to bottoms off the gondola and called it good.

So fun.
