Parking fees and reservations are becoming more and more common among ski areas across the nation. The policies are designed to limit demand, encourage carpooling, and help with overcrowding. In the last month, there have been a few resorts that have updated their fees and reservations for parking, including Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wyoming; Solitude, Utah; Palisades Tahoe, California; and Vail Mountain, Colorado.

Recently Magic Mountain had a little fun on its X (formerly Twitter) feed when it announced its parking fees (or lack thereof) for the upcoming season. You can see the tweet here. This isn’t the first time the resort has made a post like this.

Then it had this post on Facebookย and Instagram:

The posts are clearly throwing shade at all the other pay-to-park ski areas. It is also a proud boast about the free parking at Magic Mountain. Some equally sarcastic comments on the post asked about a heated valet service, Fast Tracks access, or what the price would be on weekends and peak days. Another claimed they were just happy that prices didn’t triple and thanked the resort for its transparency.

Well played, Magic Mountain. We hope you have a great season and that your guests aren’t confused about your parking pricing policy.
