Lindsey Vonn released this “statement” today on her Facebook page:
“First day back on snow since my crash and it was awesome! I’m very thankful for many things this year (family, loved ones, great fans) but at this moment I’m happy to be on the mountain doing what I love- skiing!! Happy thanksgiving everyone! And a special thx to @vailmtn for opening the lifts early for me xo Lindsey #IWILL.” – Lindsey Vonn
Lindsey crashed last week at Copper Mountain, CO and partially tore her recently reconstructed ACL in her right knee. Last February, Lindsey completely tore her ACL and MCL while ski racing in Austria and hasn’t raced since.
Lindsey Vonn is 29-years-old, won’t be racing this week in Beaver Creek, CO, and hasn’t ruled out racing in Lake Louise, Canada on December 6th, 2013.
