Lake Tahoe Has Risen 3.5 FEET Since October 1st

La Nina, continuous Atmospheric River events, and just some HUGE storms have done some major work. They have all contributed to the 3.5 foot rise that Lake Tahoe has experienced since October 1st. These statistics are great and we are continuously moving away from drought conditions. The lake isn’t going to stop now either, 3 Stormsย are expected to hit California Thursday-Tuesday, dropping 3+ FEET of snow on the mountains.

Lake Tahoe Rise By The Numbers:

  • Volume Increase Since Oct. 1st: 425,506 acre-feet
  • Gallons Added Since Oct. 1st: 138.65ย BILLION Gallons of Water
  • Current Elevation: 6226.17′

For Reference: An average household of 4 people uses 1 acre/foot of water per year.
