Incline Village in Nevada has once again canceled their Fourth of July fireworks due to high visitation and the coronavirus. The decision was made based on local and state directives associated with Covid-19, and the high number of tourists who came to Lake Tahoe the previous summer even with travel restrictions in place.
The President and CEO of Incline Village stated it was crucial for the coalition to “take a step back and look at the events effect on the region as a whole.” Incline Village and the Hyatt Regency Spa and Casino both support suspending the traditional event. Their main goal is to keep the guests safe and care for their health.
The resort looks forward to resuming the time-honored tradition and celebrating it in 2022. Other smaller community-orientated events are still expected to take place to celebrate the holiday with residents and visitors.
Incline Village does not have a President and C.E.O. Also, Incline Village is not a resort. It is an unincorporated area of Washoe County and residents consider it a town.
