Brought to you by Grand Targhee Resort
Report from February 16th, 2022
The ‘Ghee scored a much-needed refresh this week.
Snow reports from the west side of the Teton Mountains, and at Grand Targhee Resort, detail a tidy 13 inches to have fallen in the past 48 hours. This is huge, as the Wydaho region, and mountain west in general, have been dry and getting drier for awhile now.
Thanks to the recent snowfall, the current stoke level is through the roof at Targhee and Teton Valley, and the crews wasted no time in enjoying a good bit of rascally fun. It’s darn awesome to witness what can happen by adding even a dash of powder snow.
North-facing aspects are (and have been) the name of the game this season, but every little flake that fell is a big help across the whole of Grand Targhee. Headwall and the famed trees of Blackfoot are skiing particularly fine.
Best of all, if forecasting is to be believed, there’s a bit more of that wonderful white stuff inbound by the weekend.
Gloved-fingers are crossed for luck at Grand Targhee, trust in that!
