Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort, CA, marked a historic moment on Saturday as it opened for its first-ever mountain bike season.
It’s been an historical moment on the mountain today as guests rolled in for the first day of riding at the brand new Dodge Ridge Mountain Bike Park.
There were smiles from ear to ear as the commemorative speeches were made and the symbolic ribbon cut with giant scissors, kicking-off the first chair rides for this inaugural season.
Chairlift-accessed mountain biking will operate every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am – 5 pm through October 2022 (weather permitting). The resort will evaluate operations for November at that time.
You may access the mountain bike park with:
- Standard Pedal Mountain Bikes
- Class 1 E-Bikes (Max Weight of 60 lbs)
- All other Classes of E-Bikes are not permitted at this time.
All riders will descend from the top of the Motherlode Chairlift 3 at the 7,400 ft elevation and traverse out across the mountain with nearly five miles of beginner/lower-intermediate freeride rollers and banks available on opening day (Saturday, August 13). The crews at Dodge Ridge are also working hard on both an intermediate technical and an intermediate freeride trail currently in development and slated for completion shortly after opening weekend. Additional trail builds are planned throughout the summer and into fall, introducing more intermediate to advanced trails with approximately nine miles planned for this season.
Want to ride but don’t have the gear? Rental packages include full suspension Polygon mountain bikes along with helmet, knee, and elbow pads.
Other amenities to be aware of:
- Bike racks available (at the base area and top of the chairlift)
