On Saturday, Crystal Mountain announced an extension of its ski season through Memorial Day (May 26), thanks to a massive snow dump this March.
“Ski season extended!” the resort shared in an Instagram post. “Thanks to the over 5 feet of snow (and counting) we’ve received this month, we are extending the ski season through Memorial Day! That’s more time in the sun and on the snow, with all your favorite people!”
The mountain will remain open daily through April 20, then continue on weekends through May 26, with lift operations available based on conditions. Visitors are encouraged to check the Mountain Report for the latest updates.
To make the spring even sweeter, kids under 12 will be able to ski free all of April at Crystal Mountain, making it the perfect time for families to hit the slopes—whether it’s for spring break or a spontaneous powder day. Tickets are available online or in person, and kids just need to be present for a quick age check at Guest Services.
Spring also brings one of Crystal’s most beloved events: the Kona Big Wave Pond Skim, happening April 19. Expect wild costumes, big splashes, and fun competition categories like “Best Skim,” “Best Costume,” and “Best Splash.” Proceeds from the event will benefit the Crystal Mountain Volunteer Ski Patrol.
Whether you’re chasing late-season powder or soaking up the sun in spring gear, good times are ahead at Crystal Mountain as the iconic Washington ski area wraps up its ski season.
