
Crested Butte Mountain Resort, CO, wrapped up an incredible summer season on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Guests enjoyed one last weekend of hiking and mountain biking through theĀ fall foliage before the mountain shuttered summer activities for the season. The resort is now pivoting to winter operations and announced, that it is planning to open for the winter season on November 22, 2023.
WithĀ 561 acresĀ of double-black-diamond terrain, Crested Butte is known as the North American birthplace of inbounds extreme skiing and riding. Advanced and extreme terrain account forĀ nearly two-thirds of the mountainās overall acreage, but there is plenty on offer for beginner skiers, too. The Peachtree lift was opened two winter seasons ago and services the beginner terrain, so skiers and riders of all levels can feel inspired to choose their challenge and find theirĀ stepping stoneĀ to theĀ steeps of Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
