She’s already the most successful female ski racer of all time and now, in Spring, Lindsey Vonn announces plans to launch for her own U.S. based cosmetics company.
“My life doesn’t revolve around winter anymore,” — Lindsey Vonn in recent interview
Vonn addressed audiences at Denver Startup Week, an entrepreneurial event specially geared growing business know-how and networking. Vonn is a regular to celebrity red carpets and TV interviews, as well as a pioneer of wearing makeup while skiing. She said creation of her cosmetics company is already underway, and credit card enterprise, Chase Ink is on board as a partner.
Vonn is deeply involved in product testing and said, until the company’s launch next spring, branding is to remain “top secret.” She did leak the company’s line will include five distinct beauty products and perfume.
“I didn’t know what to expect when I retired, but now I’m focusing all of my competitive energy and drive into starting my own business.… It’s a learning process, but beauty is something I’ve always been passionate about. To me, putting on makeup is like putting on my game face. When I have my makeup on, I feel like I’m ready to attack the world and anything is possible.” — Lindsey Vonn

I for one can’t wait for her ski cosmetics line. I completely understand the need. I’m tired of my makeup getting all over my ski goggles and smearing on my ski coat every weekend.
