GEAR REVIEW: Arc’teryx Vertical SV Gloves The Arc’teryx Vertical SV glove is the short cuff version of their big gauntlet glove, the Alpha SV. With a full leather palm, beefy fleece interior and a Gore-Tex membrane to keep you dry, these gloves just look burly. After wearing them on most of the colder, wetter days throughout a whole winter season, I can safely say, they stand up as well as most things Arc’teryx makes. They were bomber. At first glance, these gloves are a little strange and chunky looking. Thick, anatomically curved fingers gave me pause as to how they would perform doing anything that required a little dexterity. While they struggled with finer movements at first, […] Gear Review D’Arcy McLeish | December 5, 2013 0 Comments

RAMP Peacepipe | Ski Review Last season I almost exclusively skied on RAMP Skis. With the majority of that skiing being on the RAMP Peacepipe, one of their “Hard Charging Powder Skis”. For myself I skied on the 179cm model mounted with Look Pivots on the recommended mounting point. In total during the 2012/2013 snow sliding season I put over 120 days on my skis. Working with the Snowbird Ski Patrol meant a vast majority of those days were 8-10 hour days of “work”. When on the clock I don’t always have the choice to ski where I want. This means skiing in unfavorable conditions such as frozen chicken-heads and sheets of ice that […] Gear Review Kyler Roush | November 15, 2013 3 Comments
Top 10 Best Ski Graphics of 2014 Freeskier Magazine just released their list of what they feel are the top 10 best ski graphics of 2014.
