At the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, the French just installed a new glass structure called the Chamonix Skywalk. Â It was inspired by the Grand Canyon’s glass skywalk. Â But the Chamonix Skywalk takes this idea to next level by making the floor transparent. Â Visitor feel as if they are hovering 3,396 feet above the valley below. Â 1/2″ glass surrounds visitors as they hang out above Chamonix and test their fear of heights.
The skywalk will open to the pubic on December 21st, 2013.
