Soldier Mountain, Idaho, will open its mountain bike park for the 2025 summer season this weekend, welcoming riders June 7–8 with a mix of scenic trails, competitive events, and outdoor recreation options that reflect the resort’s commitment to accessible mountain adventure. The resort will operate every other weekend through September—eight weekends in total—and will also host a National Interscholastic Cycling Association youth bike race and three unique “scramble” events that challenge riders with morning hill climbs followed by afternoon descents. The Soldier Mountain Bike Park offers five trails spanning nine miles, including easy, intermediate, and advanced hand-cut tracks, plus a machine-cut extreme jump trail for more daring riders. A dedicated skills park rounds out the riding options, providing a space for bikers to hone technique before hitting the slopes.
Trail design and construction were led by Hailey-based Titus Trails and Apex Trail Construction out of Park City, Utah, with support from the Southwest Idaho Mountain Bike Association, Wood River Trails Coalition, and local volunteers. Lift tickets for mountain biking are priced at $25 per day, while scenic chairlift rides are available for $10 each. Hikers can take in panoramic views from the top and descend on foot.
Beyond biking, the resort is offering a range of family-friendly summer amenities. The nine-hole disc golf course is now open daily and free to the public. The lodge restaurant and beverage pass-through window will operate on all open days, serving guests looking to relax post-ride.
Soldier Mountain also welcomes campers to its scenic grounds. Dry camping is permitted free of charge in the parking lot, with 24/7 access to outdoor bathrooms. While RVs must remain in the parking area, tent camping is allowed across most of the ski area as long as campers remain a safe distance from trails and infrastructure.
Guests looking to celebrate special occasions in a mountain setting can privately book the lodge and resort for weddings or events. Reservations can be made by calling (208) 765-3437 ext. 3 or visiting soldiermountain.com/soldier-weddings-and-events.
