Arizona Snowbowl in the north of Arizona has announced that the resort is extending its ski season yet again. The resort had previously extended the season to May 19 but has now announced it will be operating all the way to Memorial Day, May 27. The resort has received 281 inches of snowfall this season, which does not quite match last yearโs sensational snowfall of 372 inches, but it is above the 207 inch-average for Snowbowl.
Please note that operations will be limited to weekend/holidays only, meaning lifts will be spinning Friday to Monday, May 24 to May 27, before Snowbowl finally wraps up the 23/24 season. Snowbowl will operate the Arizona Gondola during Memorial Day weekend, offering access to advanced terrain only from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. Lift tickets are available for as low as $19 throughout the rest of the season but wonโt last long!
Snowbowl will also be open for Scenic Gondola Rides and Sunset Gondola Rides during Memorial Day weekend. Scenic Gondola Rides will be offered Friday through Monday, and Sunset Gondola Rides will be provided on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Last year, Snowbowl operated until May 29, making it the longest season ever and beating out the 18/19 season record of 160 days of winter operations.
โJust when you thought winter was coming to an end, we’re extending the 23/24 winter season…AGAIN!โ
