Arapahoe Basin, CO chief Alan Henceroth told us in his blog this morning that the snowmaking team is ready to go––they are just waiting for the temperature to drop.
Our Snowmaking Team is ready to go. They have been testing and working on their equipment all summer. The fan guns are in place on the hill. The snowmaking reservoir is full. Streamflow levels are good and good streamflow means good snowmaking.
According to the forecast we are still probably a week away from good snowmaking temperatures, but we are definitely getting closer.
Like most of you, I am getting very excited for snowmaking.
It won’t be long.
