Ski season is sadly coming to an end in Colorado. Arapahoe Basin Ski Area announced yesterday that it will close on Sunday, June 8.
The ski area said in a social post:
“We will ski & ride 7 days a week until June 1. After June 1, we will close for the week and reopen for the weekend of June 6, 7, and 8.
Does this mean…? Yes, it does — As of right now, plan for June 8 as closing day for the 24/25 Winter Season!”
Arapahoe Basin opened on Saturday, November 2, 2024, meaning that by closing day, they will have been open for 214 ski days. According to OpenSnow, the resort has received 292 inches of snow this season and currently has a 53-inch base, which is 113% of normal for this time of year. Last year, the resort closed on June 16 after 222 days of skiing.
