Another Round Of Snow Hits Colorado Today | 3-6+” Of Snow Is Forecasted To Fall

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Colorado. It’s in effect from early this morning through late tonight. Snow is expected to pick up this morning and become moderate to heavy at times this afternoon.

Snow levels are expected to hover around 5,500ft in northern Colorado, while they will be around 8,500ft in the San Juans. 

 "Snow will again pick up in coverage and intensity through
  the early morning hours...becoming moderate to heavy at 
  times through Thursday afternoon."

Eisenhower Tunnel, Indian Peaks, Kenosha Mountains, Mount Evans,
Williams Fork Mountains, and Winter Park

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow snow showers expected to become widespread by later
  this morning. Accumulations will be 3 to 6 inches with higher
  amounts up to 10 inches expected along West facing slopes of
  Summit county.

* WHERE...The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range,
  and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...6 AM This morning until midnight MDT Thursday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on winter driving conditions today
  with icy and snowpacked roads possible over the mountain passes.

A potent upper level storm system and associated cold front dropping out of the northern Rockies will bring snow and colder temperatures to north central and northeastern Colorado Saturday night and Sunday. Accumulating snow is expected across much of the area with this system. High temperatures on the plains on Sunday are only expected to be only in the 20s with lows in teens to possibly single digits Sunday night. – NOAA, today
