On December 22nd, Alta was windy as hell. The Wasatch had just received a total of 19 inches from a relatively warm storm which caused seemingly everything to slide. In addition to this, the wind was howling with gusts of up to 60 mph. Things were, to say it simply, extreme.
As the storm broke, the sun peaked out beneath the clouds making one heck of a sunset. It was the beginning of what was an amazing next day.
Tuesday’s weather was the polar opposite than Monday’s. Both days had killer snow, but Tuesday was bluebird with minimal wind. It was quite the turn of events.
Utah is getting a HUGE cold snowstorm tonight and through Christmas day. Stay tuned for m ore updates from Alta.
